Vitea is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This page explains our accessibility standards, what we’ve done to meet them, known limitations, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier.
What does “accessible website” mean?
An accessible website can be used by people regardless of ability — including those who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control software, or other assistive technologies. Accessibility is not a feature; it is a baseline requirement for inclusive digital experiences.
Vitea’s website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility adopted by governments, healthcare regulators, and enterprise organizations world wide.
What have we done to make this site accessible?
We work toward WCAG 2.1 AA standards:
Perceivable
• Non-text content (images, icons, graphics) includes descriptive alternative text so screen readers can convey meaning accurately
• Color is never used as the sole means of conveying information — we use labels, patterns, or text alongside color cues
• Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
• Page contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
• Animations can be disabled for motion-sensitive users and those who suffer from vestibular motion sickness.
Operable
• All functionality is available via keyboard navigation without requiring a mouse.
• No content flashes more than three times per second, reducing seizure risk.
• Users have sufficient time to read and interact with all content.
Understandable
• Pages use clear, plain language appropriate for a professional healthcare audience.
• Form fields include visible labels and descriptive error messages.
• Navigation is consistent across pages so users can orient themselves reliably.
Robust
• Pages use valid, well-structured HTML and ARIA landmarks to support compatibility with current and future assistive technologies.
• We test regularly to verify that our markup does not break assistive technology parsing.
• We monitor for compatibility issues as browsers and assistive technologes evolve.
Are there any known accessibility limitations?
We are working to improve accessibility across all pages and content types.
Known areas we are still addressing include:
• PDF documents - some PDFs may not be fully tagged for screen reader compatibility.
• Third-party content - some embedded tools or widgets provided by third-party vendors may not fully meet our accessibility standards; we flag these to vendors and seek accessible alternatives where possible.
We prioritize remediating barriers that affect core functionality and content access first.
Which accessibility standard do we follow?
Vitea’s website works towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This standard covers four principles —perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust — and is the benchmark used by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, healthcare accreditation bodies, and enterprise procurement requirements. We conduct periodic accessibility reviews and update our practices as standards evolve.
What assistive technologies does this site support?
Our website has been tested with common screen readers, keyboard-only navigations across major browsers, browser zoom, and voice control software.
If you use an assistive technology not listed here and encounter a problem, please let us know. Your report helps us expand our testing coverage.
How do we handle accessibility feedback?
We take accessibility reports seriously. If you encounter a barrier on our site:
1. Contact us at hello@vitea.ai with a description of the issue, the page URL, and the assistive technology or browser you were using.
2. We will acknowledge your report promptly and work to provide a substantive response as quickly as possible.
3. We will remediate confirmed barriers as quickly as possible, prioritizing issues that block access to core content or functionality.
We do not require you to justify why accessibility matters to you. Every report is treated as a valid and important signal.
